LUKE 23: Nive Nielsen & The Deer Children – Christmas Song
I dagens luke finner vi en ung dame fra Nuuk, Grønland ved navn Nive. Sammen med sine Deer Children er hun et av Alternativ Julekalenders mest eksotiske innslag noensinne.
Hun spilte sin første konsert noensinne foran Dronning Margrethe af Danmark, er venner med folk fra Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Black Keys og Giant Sand. Hun spiller ifølge seg selv “Snow songs? Inuit indie?” og følger opp med “We sound like singing and dancing little Eskimos lingering in front of the fireplace after making snow angels under the Northern Lights”. Finnes det egentlig noe bedre enn det dagen før den store dagen? Kos deg!

Christmas is just magical. I love Christmas so much that I turn into a little kid again every year. So many wonderful things happen: not just the wrapping then unwrapping of gifts (yay!) but the sitting together in front of the fire place watching the snow fall while drinking hot cacao, the smell of fresh baked cookies, the huge and cozy family and friends dinners, the smell of the Christmas trees… Yup Christmas is magic!
